Junior Banking Operations Specialist (English and/or German)

About the opportunity

These positions would suit detail-oriented professionals looking to begin or develop a career in banking, finance and financial administration.

Previous banking experience is not required. Role-specific training is expected to be provided.

Key responsibilities

Depending on the team and banking process, your responsibilities may include:

  • Processing and verifying banking transactions, applications and customer information.

  • Reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness and compliance with established procedures.

  • Supporting customer verification (KYC) and related administrative processes.

  • Updating customer records and maintaining accurate information in banking systems.

  • Supporting payment processing, document checks and other back-office activities.

  • Communicating with colleagues and internal banking teams in English or German.

  • Identifying missing information, reporting discrepancies and following internal procedures.

Requirements

  • Good command of English and/or German at B2 level or higher, with C1 preferred.

  • Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good organisational and analytical skills.

  • Ability to learn new systems and follow established procedures.

  • Good communication skills and a responsible approach to confidential information.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Legal eligibility to work in Bulgaria.

An advantage, but not essential

  • Previous experience in banking, finance, accounting, administration or customer operations.

  • Familiarity with KYC, AML or financial documentation.

  • Experience working with international teams.

  • Knowledge of both English and German.
