Our client is a Fortune 500 company who finance, manage and develop projects for the private and public sectors across the world. Currently looking for talented individuals to join their highly skilled teams in Kuwait - Camp Arifjan on US/NATO military bases.

Benefits: annual flights to and from home country, housing and medical insurance are paid for by the company. 
4-5 weeks vacation, 1-year contract 

Positions Reporting to this Function: None
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.   Performs troubleshooting, installation, repairs and refills FSS system on a wide range of Military equipment.
2.   Performs HVAC troubleshooting, recovery, recharge, and installation as required.
3.   Performs mechanical troubleshooting and repair work on a wide range of Military equipment.
4.   Performs refilling of FM-200, Monoammonium-Phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, and Petrotech 25 fire extinguishing agents.
5.   Responsible for implementing and maintaining the shop safety program as well as providing daily work assignments to other maintenance personnel assigned to work center.
6.   Performs any other duties as assigned.
7.   Ensure strict compliance with safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures.
8.   Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
9.   Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management
System.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Education:
a)   High School diploma or equivalent required.
b)   EPA 609 certification in vehicle HVAC recovery, recharge and installation or equivalent, is required.
c)  Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience. Example: Two (2) years of experience is equivalent to (2) years of college and vice versa.
 
Experience:
a)   1-3 years of FSS and/or HVAC experience, is required. b)   Experience with fire suppression systems is preferred.
c)  Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience. Example: Two (2) years of experience is equivalent to (2) years of college and vice versa.
 
Specialized knowledge and skills:
a)   Must have a basic understanding of HAZMAT and OSHA procedures. b)   Must have experience with FSS/HVAC use of job specific tools.
c)   Responsible for rebuilding, inspecting, and testing the serviceability of certain fire extinguisher components by the technical specifications given by the manufacturer.
d)  Proficient in the proper handling of hazardous materials such as heptafluoropropane (FM-200), Monoammonium-Phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Petrotech 25, and dry nitrogen.
 
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
a)   Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively during a 77 hour work week.
