The Offer:
  • Rotation: 6 weeks ON followed by 3 Weeks OFF
  • Duration: One-year contract renewable

  • Contract Status: Single with full board and lodging provided.

Job description:
  1. Advises ship masters on best courses, speed, anchorage, ship and mooring line handling to safely approach, remain in and leave company deep water berths and small boat harbor and all restricted areas under company's jurisdiction
  2. Advises on safe and efficient handling of submarine loading hoses, terminal mooring lines and marine facilities
  3. Directs terminal and ship personnel in bringing aboard, connecting and disconnecting mooring lines and hoses; maintain communications with shore by radiotelephone and signals relative to proper loading rates and cargo grade segregation.
  4. Inspects ballast and tanks to ensure loading of proper quality and quantity of crude oil, direct hullaging, certifies quantities loaded onboard in cooperation with ship officers and/or independent petroleum inspectors.
  5. Supervises and trains and develops coxswains and launch crewmen in safe, efficient operation of 45-ft mooring launches and 55-ft tugs, used for mooring, ship assistance and general use, reports need for maintenance of launches and marine equipment to chief mooring master or marine superintendent.
  6. Assists marine superintendent in maintenance of marine records, e.g. tanker time analysis sheets, hose record book, meteorological and port closure records, time sheets of launch personnel, weather maps, forecast, logbooks, etc. Prepares computer-generated correspondence and technical reports.
  7. Carry out special projects as assigned.
  8. Maintain international HSE standards.
  9. Coordinate and attend meetings as required.
Other Details:
  • Good understanding of contractual matters.
  • Good English communication, presentation and interpersonal skills is a must.
  • Team player, self motivated, results oriented with conceptual and flexible mindset.
  • Well developed skills in coordinating with contractors, consultants and designers.
Experience: Minimum 10-year work experience as a Mooring Master.

Good English is a MUST.
