Junior Manual QA Tester

This position is for a passionate manual QA tester, looking to garner great experience working in a fast-paced financial services firm. The position provides the opportunity to work with members of our team across the world, providing experience in both business communication, as well as testing. With exposure to a dynamic and changing environment, this unique position will ultimately need to be filled by a candidate that is eager to learn, able to adapt, and highly self-motivated.


  • Functional and Regression tests of Windows, Web and Mobile based applications
  • Create and execute Test scenarios and Test cases based upon specification documents and understanding of systems in order to test new functionality
  • Document and maintain Test Plans and Test Cases, utilizing HP ALM
  • Identify, prioritize, report and track all issues that arise during the project cycle
  • Work closely with quality assurance team members and interact with developers in the process of testing software prior to its release into production
  • Operate in a primarily manual testing role with an opportunity to advance and transition to a role of a QA Automation Engineer

Experience and Skills:

  • Must understand Quality Assurance Methodologies and QA Role
  • Certification from QA course is a plus but not required
  • 1 to 2 years Software Quality Assurance experience is a plus but not required
  • Experience conducting manual testing of web based applications is a plus but not required
  • Foreign Currency Exchange and Trading Systems experience is a plus but not required
  • Experience with HP UFT is a plus but not required
  • Self-motivated with little direct supervision, assuring the quality of work and service for the tasks given is of the highest caliber and meeting or exceeding requirements and expectations
  • Self-assured and well organized, be able to effectively analyze and estimate the work load, and provide projects’ progress status with a high degree of accuracy to the team lead on regular basis
  • The candidate must have the ability to work with minimum supervision and be able to adapt to the fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Outstanding problem solving skills and attention to detail, strong analytical skills, excellent multi-tasking abilities
  • Must be able to think creatively about issues to find a solution
  • Must have excellent written and communication skills
  • Very good English skills (verbal and written)
Hours: 40 hours/week - Monday to Friday
