A fast-growing international production and distribution company is expanding its team in Sofia. The business focuses on importing, processing, and distributing high-quality meat and food products across Europe. The company works with supermarket chains, e-commerce platforms, and B2B partners throughout Bulgaria and the EU.

Role Overview

We’re seeking an experienced and highly organized Import/Export Specialist to manage global sourcing, logistics, and distribution operations. The role is based full-time in the Sofia office and offers long-term growth potential for someone who wants to develop within international trade and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, source, and order products from international suppliers in line with company purchasing plans.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers across Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Australia.

  • Manage the full import/export cycle, including purchase orders, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery tracking.

  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and optimize stock turnover.

  • Coordinate with sales, finance, and warehouse teams to ensure product availability and smooth operations.

  • Track supply chain KPIs such as cost efficiency, lead times, and margins.

  • Ensure full compliance with EU import/export regulations, Intrastat reporting, and customs documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in import/export, logistics, or supply chain (preferably in FMCG or manufacturing).

  • Solid understanding of international trade, Incoterms, and customs processes.

  • Proven ability to manage suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.

  • Fluent in English and Bulgarian; German is a strong advantage.

  • Skilled in Excel and ERP systems (experience with WooCommerce or similar tools is a plus).

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
